There exists a super elite group of top salespeople that
make all the BIG money.
These are the top 5% that make 95% of all the money.
These are the selling Mavericks.
They operate on the fast track and have mastered new effective
selling techniques.
If you want to join them you need to master ways to exploit the
80/20 rule.
Effective Selling Techniques # 1: Exploit the
80/20 Rule
In selling, as mentioned above, little things do matter. It is
a skewed and unbalanced world.
Selling is no different. The 80/20 rule states that 20% of what
you do is responsible for 80% of the results.
This follows that 80% of what you do is responsible for 20% of
the results.
This means that the results you will get will not be in equal
proportion to how hard you work.
This means you can work half as hard as a colleague and still
sell more than four times as much.
Isn't that exciting?
As a result, it's important that you work hard to discover the
20% that creates 80% of the results and then do more of that.
It is also important that you identify the 20% of customers
that give you 80% of your profits and focus you efforts on
them.
As the famous saying goes "Find the fat cows that you can
milk.
Then milk them for a long time to come".
Avoid the skinny troublesome ones.
Effective Selling Techniques # 2: Be
different
Getting an edge means doing something different. If you do the
same thing as everyone else you have absolutely no advantage.
Do this and you will resign yourself to being average. You will
NEVER make it onto the fast track by doing the same as everyone
else. You have to be different and do different things.
That is why Maverick salespeople ALWAYS out perform the
masses.
It also explains why up to a point sales training fails to be
any more effective. It is great for teaching you the basics but
you will not be able to take the next step by listening to most
sales trainers. The secret is to look inwards. Most successful
people already know what will make them successful. They just
have to organize this knowledge into a system that works. The
program will help you to do that.
The hidden secret of the Mavericks is the ability to innovate
and discover new un-used and better ways to do things. They are
the first to adopt new selling effective techniques. By the
time the masses catch on they have moved on and discovered the
next new super methods. Mavericks always stay one step ahead of
the masses and therefore stay one step ahead of being
average.
Why Mavericks ALWAYS
Win?
Mavericks are more successful than anyone else because they are
not afraid to try out something different or experiment with
new ideas and concepts. They will take what other people teach
them and make it there own. They will add interesting little
twists. They strive to be different. The maverick will make a
shoe that fits them. This is a shoe that is comfortable for
them and allows them to exploits their hidden talents and
abilities to the full. The small difference is what matter.
Remember it is the small things that the mavericks do
differently that make them successful.
In order to out-wit and outmanoeuvre your competition you need
to be able to think like a chess master and master new set of
effective selling techniques. The ability to anticipate and
think multiple moves ahead is a learned skill. Each action you
take must be carefully thought through and deliberately
executed. Always be on the look out for ways to upset your
competitor’s plans. Click below to discover more effective

Effective Selling Techniques # 3 : Think
like a chess
master
To win a complex sales campaign today, with multiple people
involved, you need to be calculating & cunning. The actions
you take must be deliberate and carefully planned. At each step
you must know what you are doing and why.
The problem is that too many people are too lazy and do not
consider the consequences of their actions. As a result they
will go through the same old motions hoping for the best. Today
you will be eaten alive by the new breed of cunning sales
professional with this attitude.
Make yourself consciously hold back before you act. Ask
yourself if there is a better way first. Then act. The opposite
is also true. Do not get caught up trying to be too
calculating. Your lack of action in this instance will be your
downfall.
You can learn to be strategic and calculating by thinking like
a chess master. It means developing the ability to think
multiple moves ahead. Before you make a tactical move you need
to have already carefully thought out the next move, the move
after that and the one after that. As well as the ability to
think ahead you need to have also considered the various
implications of each move and to know exactly how it helps or
hinders your campaign. Mastering these basic but effective
selling techniques is crucial to your success in sales
today.
Effective Selling Techniques # 4: Focus
& Concentrate your
efforts
It is tactically better to focus you energies and resources at
one point. You can then grow out from that one point having
established a foot hold. In a new market you are looking to
create a self-referencing affect. This is a major source of
leverage. It provides the circumstances where a market
can begin to sell it self on your product. This can only be
achieved by first concentrating your efforts. Become great at
one thing and avoid being a jack of all trades.
Today we have saved one of the most important effective
selling techniques until last. The secret of focus &
concentrating your efforts has lots of implications for your
selling. It is a tactic that has been well used throughout
history. It is common advice in a military campaign to focus
your army’s fire power and weaponry at one small point. The
small point normally is the weakest point of your enemy’s army.
By focusing your strength at one point you can have 100x the
power against your enemies 1x the power. You are certain of
victory. If you had got overconfident and attacked at all areas
at the same time you would have 1x the power against 1x the
power of your enemy. The outcome is now uncertain and
risky.
You are much more powerful by focusing on one small area
than by being spread thinly. For example, in whatever you do it
is better to put all you efforts into doing that one thing
really well rather than to become average at lots of things.
You can become and super paid expert in one area instead of a
jack of all trades.
